Guiding principle

“Secure first. Then experiment.”

The planned Cloud Edition keeps the Setuphelfer guiding principle as its foundation: security, backup and recoverability first, additional services or systems after.

What it is meant to do

The Setuphelfer Cloud Edition is planned as a companion area for Linux, Raspberry Pi and cloud server systems. The goal is to make infrastructure understandable — without a complex admin console and without requiring deep Linux knowledge.

At the centre is a companion idea: guided help that presents the important states of a system in an understandable way and points to suitable next steps. It is not about “automatically fixing” servers, but about letting users assess the state of their infrastructure.

Planned topics

The following building blocks are planned as content focus. They become visible only when the underlying functions are coherent and verifiable.

Security status

Planned understandable view of security-relevant states of a system — no rating promises, no audit guarantees.

Backup status

A planned view of existing backups and restore readiness — connected to Setuphelfer Core.

Updates

Planned overview of pending and applied updates on a system — as information, not as an automatic action.

CPU, RAM, network

Planned base metrics to assess load and bottlenecks — laid out in a way that beginners can read.

Availability

Planned view of how reachable a system is in everyday use — to be connected to diagnostics and recovery in the future.

Companion idea

Guided help that puts important states in context — no finished cloud console, no multi-user management, no automation promises.

Understandable server guidance

The Cloud Edition is meant to translate server and cloud terms into everyday language. Instead of a technical admin console, the focus is on a guided view of security, backup, updates and availability.

Recovery remains a core focus: when a system fails or becomes unclear, the path back to a stable state should be understandable — connected to the recovery pipeline of Setuphelfer Core.

Current status

The Setuphelfer Cloud Edition is currently in preparation.

This page is a marketing stub. Content, structure and explanations are being developed step by step. Until then, there are deliberately no tariffs, no booking, no sign-up and no cloud console.

Notifications will follow later.
