Scope
These provisions apply to use of the website setuphelfer.de and the “SetupHelfer” desktop application described and linked there, in the version made available. SetupHelfer is an information and software project to help you get started with Raspberry Pi and Linux — not a commercial “closed marketplace” platform in the sense of a proprietary online trading venue.
Use at your own risk
Use of the information, instructions, configuration notes and software is entirely at your own risk. You must create full backups before any system or network change and verify compatibility with your environment.
No liability for damage
To the extent permitted by law, the operator accepts no liability for damage or consequential damage arising from use or non-use of the offered content or software. This includes in particular:
- Damage to systems to hardware or software (including Raspberry Pi, storage media, peripherals, routers, servers or other devices)
- Data loss or corruption of data
- Misconfiguration, incorrect transmission of commands or scripts, incorrect or incomplete instructions, except in cases of intentional or grossly negligent breach of duty by the operator
- Downtime, indirect damage or lost profit
- Security incidents (e.g. system compromise, inadequate hardening, malware) in connection with applying the content or software, except in cases of intent or gross negligence on the part of the operator
Statutory liability for injury to life, body or health and under product liability law remains unaffected where mandatory.
No liability for system changes and configurations
No liability is accepted for consequences of partitioning, firmware updates, boot loader settings, network configuration, user permissions, container or service configuration and comparable interventions — whether following instructions or your own design — unless the operator acted intentionally or with gross negligence.
No warranty of availability or accuracy
No warranty is given for permanent availability of the website, error-free content or uninterrupted operation of the software. Technical information may change with time and platform updates; you must verify details before applying them.
Backup obligation
Before installations, system updates, partitioning, write access to storage media or other changes that affect your system, you are required to create a full backup of all relevant data on separate media. Without a current backup, any use of the help materials and software is solely in the awareness that data loss cannot be ruled out.
